Social responsibility –
From words to actions

Social responsibility is becoming an integral part of the business models of many companies, including EOS Group.
Focusing primarily on social and corporate engagement and setting an example for sustainable receivables management, the EOS Group's Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy is designed to build on greater social, environmental and economic acceptability, leading to benefits for society and the environment in the long term, while at the same time increasing the company's business performance.
With defaulting consumers who are unable to meet their obligations, we look for sustainable solutions for debt repayment, we help with financial literacy, and we also focus on climate-neutral operations and strict corporate standards. With our activities, we want to actively help the economy in such a way as to improve the financial situation of our customers and consumers and thus contribute our part to changing the environment in which we do business for the better.

At EOS KSI in Slovenia, we see financial literacy as the foundation of financial sustainability. Financial literacy for both adolescents and adults is crucial for sustainable finances and long-term financial security.

Since we believe that everyone should have basic financial knowledge, because empowered people can make financial decisions more easily and with less risk, EOS in Slovenia has made financial literacy a priority in order to act as a preventive measure and to educate people to reduce the risks of getting into debt.
In our work, we are often faced with the consequences of financial decisions that have not worked out or that people are not prepared for unforeseen events. That is why we see our mission primarily in prevention and financial empowerment, starting with children and teach them how to handle money and finances responsibly.

That is why EOS in Slovenia participates in the project »Finančna šola«, the purpose of which is to educate young people, millennials, and teachers. One of the priorities is also the establishment of the ManoMoneta project, through which we want to teach elementary school students how to properly handle money.

Financial sustainability is one of the four pilars of EOS Group's sustainability strategy.

EOS in Slovenia was involved in the creation of the Debt Recovery Association. In the future, we will strive to establish a system of common standards and guidelines for responsible behaviour. We also consistently adhere to the EOS Group Code of Conduct, which sets out the rules and principles by which employees must conduct themselves in the performance of their work, with the aim of offering the best possible service to our clients.

Protecting the climate and the environment is also an important part of EOS Group's social responsibility strategy.

EOS is working with the Otto Group to achieve climate neutrality by 2030. With this aim in mind, EOS in Slovenia is already pursuing goals such as the transition to green electricity, the reduction of office space, electric cars in the fleet and the use of digital communication channels.

In the month of May, we devoted additional activities to raising awareness about diversity. For us, the month of diversity also means that we took the time to look back. We consciously looked at what we have done in the field of diversity in the company over all these years. Where we started, where we are today and where we would like to be tomorrow.
We hold diversity close to our hearts, but we also recognise that, however homogeneous the collective, each individual is unique. Putting all employees on the same level does not work, because there are as many differences as there are people. That's why we respect and accept differences and try to raise awareness of unconscious bias programmes.

In the future, we still have a lot of work to do in the field of sustainability. This year, we obtained the Socially Responsible Employer certificate, which further encourages us to achieve the set sustainable goals and set new ones.
